Father's Day, Parades, Camping, and Family

What a whirlwind month! So much has happened that it was difficult to keep up! We celebrated Brad's first Father's Day by taking his dad, along with his sister and Brian, to the Washington Beer Festival at St. Edward's Park in Kirkland. Henry joined the festivities via stroller which happened to make a great cup holder for the beer tasting glasses. We also attended the Fremont Solstice Parade the day before and Henry had fun watching the floats and fairies roll on by.

Visiting the Eakers and wearing a cowboy hat.
Chase and Henry.
Having fun with a bouncy ball.

Herzog family picnic. Great Aunt Esther, me and Henry. (That's great-great aunt Esther to Henry!)

We pulled out the jumper and Henry had a romp!

Henry's nametag at the Vaughn Family Reunion. Great-grandson of Alfred Tennyson Vaughn. (I can't figure out how to rotate these pictures on blogspot - eek!) It was a wonderful turnout of over 100 relatives. My grandpa was the youngest of nine children, so the family has expanded tenfold plus! Not to mention the blurred generation lines - one of my grandpa's nephews was eight years younger than him. It's hard to imagine how we all shared the same set of grandparents (great and triple greats for some). Crazy. Thanks to Aunt Roberta and cousin Beth for all your hard work and dedication to making the event memorable and fun!

Henry had a little "air" time after his bath the other evening. It was too cute, so I had to capture the moment on camera =)

Henry with his great uncle Wes who flew in from Ohio to be at the Vaughn family reunion.

Henry and his cousins Alex and Hannah at Greenlake. We intended to walk around the lake with Steve, Jessica and kids when we happened upon the wading pool. Couldn't resist the temptation and let the kids splash around in the water. Aren't these kids the cutest!?!?

We went camping at Brad's friend's cabin on Lake Thomas. We shared a small, one-room cabin with electricity, but no plumbing. Here Henry is peering over his playpin and chewing on the edge. Can you say teething?

Peek-a-boo! I see you!

Brad caught a couple rainbow trout in the lake and placed them on a stringer. Vader tried without avail to fish it out of the water (pun intended).

We borrowed Macy and Katie's bikes and went for a ride along the dirt roads. Here we are posing in front of the trail map.

A view from the cabin early in the morning. It was beautiful! Thanks Macy and Katie for inviting us - we had a blast!

Henry brushing his teeth. Ok, he's really just chewing on this toothbrush, but it looks like he really knows what he's doing - not to mention how he looks like a little boy. Our baby is growing so quick!

Henry's rubber ducky. Bathtime got a whole lot more fun now that the inflatable duck is being utilized. It quacks when you squeeze the beak, but Henry thinks it quacks when he touches his head =)

Henry Tennyson Ross - 9-Months old on June 22nd!

Posing with the beer chip at the beer festival on Father's Day. I took the wooden chip away once he made the move to chew on it and poor Henry didn't like it one bit!

Passed out, and not from too much beer =) We signed a waiver stating that we would not provide alcohol to minors after all...

Asleep on daddy's shoulder. Too much fun watching mommy and daddy tasting beer at the festival.

Too cute for words! Henry in his camo hat.

Auntie Amy and Henry having fun at the beer festival.

Auntie Amy and Uncle Brian with their taster cups.

Happy Father's Day Dads!

Going for a quick stroll in the neighborhood before we headed off for the beer festival. This hat would not stay straight on his head - I swear!

Playing with his stacking boxes.

Playing with his musical walker. This thing is fun!

Our smiley baby was hungry. Quick! Prep a bottle stat!

BBQ at our friend's Brian and Ryan's house after the solstice parade. Brian is holding Henry - so cute!

Daddy's purchase and Archie McFee's. Ironically, Henry's two front teeth are coming in =)
