First Teeth

We were finally able to capture a photo of Henry's bottom teeth! It really wasn't too hard since he's always smiling, but that tongue just likes to get in the way! More exciting developments continue to unfold each week. Henry can officially join Cirque du Soleil now that he can contort his body to stick his feet in his mouth. It's quite exciting for him as he has found 10 new digits to suck on =) His head strength has improved over the past two weeks and he constantly lifts his head while on his tummy. He's enjoying the new found perspective as he prepares for the crawling stage.

Yummy toes!

Good morning mama!

Henry likes it!
Lovin' tummy time.
Happy with Auntie MariJo
Meeting Uncle Steve - We're so glad he's home on leave! Can't wait for him to return from Iraq in June!
Yeah, we get along really well. Uncle Steve and Henry showing off their tongues =)
Getting whoobies from daddy. It makes him laugh every time!
First time in the exersaucer - Henry loves pushing his feet on the ground.
Good times with my toys - you don't want to take me out of here yet, do you?
Whoa, this is coool!

Rice Cereal?

Henry's been watching us closely at dinner each night and tracking the food from our plates to our mouths. He looks at us with interest and intrigue. So, we thought it was time to introduce him to rice cereal. I wish I captured the first bite on camera because his expression was priceless - all smiles before the spoon went to his mouth and then a frown followed by a gimace. I'm not sure if it was the cereal itself or the spoon that he was not fond of. We did however, capture a cute moment when we gave him a second bite. We're not sure whether the rice cereal will be a staple in Henry's diet yet - the verdict is still out.

We also had cousins Hannah and Alex over Saturday night so Jessica could have a much needed and overdue child-free evening. The boys are 12 months apart and Henry seemed very interested in Alex, like he was a new toy. Both Hannah and Alex were very sweet giving him kisses on the forehead and hugs. Later on, Hannah and Alex fell asleep in our bed cuddled next to each other as cute as can be!

Henry's FIrst Tooth!

It's officially here! For the past two months we've been thinking Henry was teething because of all the drool drenching his onesies and how he always wanted to chew and suck on his hands, fingers and toys. As of yesterday, we can see the little white tooth pushing its way up through his gums. It's a sharp little sucker too! Poor little guy has had a hard time lately we just knew something was up.
